The CW dropping The Secret Circle!

THE SECRET CIRCLE BEING DROPPED DUE TO NOT GENERATING ENOUGH VIEWERS ON THE CW

By now you've probably heard the news, The CW is dropping The Secret Circle, if you're a fan of the show you're probably devastated, and we feel you... Bring back Adam's moody eyes and Jake's v-neck!!

Unfortunately TSC didn't generate enough viewers, though at the start of the season it started out strong, gradually the viewers declined.

Nikita was renewed despite having similar ratings, but rumor has it this was due to its large fan base overseas.

But The Secret Circle also has a big fan base overseas! And many loyal and determined fans took to online sites to watch the series.

Anyway, here is some Secret Circle appreciation...

Adam, Diana and Faye looking shocked... (its probably just a cat Adam, no worries)

Faye and Voodoo-Lee in his voodoo garage

Melissa and Jake near the boatyard

They made a super cute couple...

How did this picture of Jake end up here??!

Bye bye Secret Circle, you will be missed.

Also read the book if you haven't, that's still available, by L.J Smith.

Review: Stealing Phoenix

Joss Stirling
264 pages
23 chapters

on the back:
'This is about getting you out... I'm stealing you.'
Phoenix belongs to the Community - a gang of thieves with paranormal powers. Yves Benedict - an American student visiting London - is her mark. But Yves turns out to be more than just a target. He is her destiny. Her soulmate.
The Community owns Phoenix's past and it wants her future too.
Can Phoenix save the boy she loves... and herself?

Stealing Phoenix is the prequel to Finding Sky by Joss Stirling, and having read Finding Sky I was sacred this wouldn't live up to it's prequel.

But woah it did!

In this book we first meet Phoenix at the construction site of the London Olympic Stadium, and we see Yves' as her "victim" as she is getting ready to steal some of his valuables from his backpack. This book takes place in London, where the Community - a gang of Savants who use their powers to steal, their leader being the ruthless Seer - is set in.

I love how this book follows Yves and Phoenix, but how we also see the rest of the Savant Family. Though this book has a different plot to Finding Sky it's nice to see the familiar characters who link the two books together. I also loved the friendship between Sky and Phoenix and the added humor between the brothers.

I loved Phoenix, she's lovable and caring and she's so tough, and the chemistry between her and Yves carries you across the page, you don't want to stop reading this book, literally you don't. I'm so glad we got to learn more bout Yves, in this book his character shone through, I loved the way he treated Phoenix, he was really sweet and gentle. They made an amazing couple.

Overall, I loved Stealing Phoenix, a worthy prequel to Finding Sky. Cannot wait for Seeking Crystal!
FIVE STARS

(I actually met Joss Stirling once, but as Julia Golding, she came to my school like 2 or 3 years ago! Just casually chucking that out there... haha. 'Dragonfly' by Julia Golding is a really good book, worth a read definitely, check it out.)

MOVIES!!

YA BOOKS TO MOVIES, AND THERE ARE A LOT... LIKE SERIOUSLY...

OK first of so sorry,  literally been blog dead for the past couple of months.... :/ sorry....
but hey its summer now and im gonna be on a lot more now!

Anyway, so I was choosing a movie to watch and I found out that Flipped by Wendelin van Draanen had been turned into one!!

Here is the book:

And a picture from a part of the movie:

I watched the movie and I actually really liked it, it was really sweet and cute,  I wouldn't know if the book was better, though to be honest it most likely is because books are usually better than the movie (except maybe with New Moon... but that's most likely because all Bella did was moan, personal opinion no offense meant).

Anyway and I wanted to see which other books were possibly been adapted for the movies or for TV and I found a lot! I literally had no idea about some, so yeh here they are:

UGLIES
I love this book, my friend Alice told me to read it and I'm so glad I did, if you haven't read this then DO! Seriously cannot believe it's being turned into a movie! Woah! Here you can find what Scott Westerfield wrote on his blog. And the release date has not yet been released but it will be out sometime in 2012, so hopefully not too long.

THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH
Haven't personally read this book but I have heard it's good, and definitely planning too, I think this is coming out sometime 2013? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not sure.

THE HOUSE OF NIGHT
Good book series, even though it sorta was slightly too long, I have a feeling this would probably work out better as a TV series but so far it is being optioned for film, and could possibly be released sometime 2013.

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES
Originally Jack O’Connell was supposed to play Ethan but because of scheduling conflict now Alden Ehrenreich will be taking over the role, look out fo this in 2013.

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES
I think the release date for this is 23rd of August 2013 here in the UK, and click here for more info and the cast.

SHIVER
Literally so excited for this!!!! I love this book and woah who are they going to cast for Sam??! No release date as of yet..... ahhh cannot wait but somewhere I read sometime 2012?? Oh and this is what Maggie Stiefvater said on her blog.

FALLEN
Ok this shocked me the most, not cos it's not a good book, cos it is, but I don't know... it just did....

HEIST SOCIETY
Cannot wait for this! Sounds good and Drew Barrymore is producing and directing it, find out what Ally Carter said here.

VAMPIRE ACADEMY
Movie is coming in 2013, no joke this is killing me, I want to see this so bad...

MAXIMUM RIDE
I think this was supposed to come out in 2010, but now it's coming out hopefully in 2013.

Cannot wait for all of these and it seems like 2013 will particularly be a busy year! I look forward to it....
